How to Use:   This is a very flavorful oil, that pairs well with grilled foods of all type and spanish dishes such as paella.  You can also use it with raw applications including greek salad or salads with arugula or other strong greens.

Our Notes:
This is a beautiful Medium to Robust EVOO which has wonderful blend of green fruit aroma which are match by a balanced but equally intense amount of bitterness, pungency and green fruit flavors.  43 Ranch has hit a home run with this creation.

It is an example of how good California oils can be and how they compete on a par with best oils in the world. Most of the Picual based oils coming to us in the USA from Europe are the overripe style so popular in Spain. American who are moving away from the delicate oils based on Arbequina olive will love this American creation of a Picual EVOO full of so many delicious green aromas and flavors.   It has diversity of aroma and flavors which makes it very flexible with the types of foods you pair it with.  Handcrafted by the grower with goal of minimizing the time from picking to the milling of the olives contributes to the intensity of fresh fruit flavors in this oil.

There are slight tropical undertones of guava and a clean finish, with ripe olive notes followed by black pepper. Key sensations:  tomato leaf, herbs, grass, green almond, artichoke.

About the Producer:
Their ancestors settled on California's central coast in 1864 and began farming the land that they now call 43 Ranch.

They are proud fifth and sixth-generation farmers on this land. The soil characteristics and mild climate of the southern Salinas Valley mirror the characteristics of old world olive growing regions.

They hope you can taste the passion that comes from their love of the land they call 43 Ranch.
