Food For Thought - Great Lake Pear
Good Food Awards Finalist 2018
The Great Lake Pear does a great job of capturing the full intensity of pear at its peak of flavor. This has 3 main ingredients pears, sugar, and lemon juice, which means the beauty of this jam is from comes from perfectly ripe fruit, processed long and slow in small batches to preserve the flavor of the fruit. A wonderful jam to have during the winter, spring, and summer as we are waiting for the new crop of pears to reach our local markets. i Highly recommended.
Sweet fruit slowly simmered and cooked down. Our preserves contain more fruit, therefore are naturally lower in sugar. Use on toast, bagels, swirled into yogurt, oatmeal, in your muffin recipe and they make a great addition to traditional thumbprint cookies. These preserves are slow cooked in small batches of 140 jars.
