We compared against a number of other high end almond butters and found this one to have the highest intensity of almond flavor. Big Spoon Roasters leaves the skin of the almonds in the product, and achieve a consistent medium grind that is in the middle between smooth and chunky. He uses a larger grain of salt which pleasantly punctuates the almond flavors, and the honey matches well against the stronger flavor from this California heirloom almond. The additional pockets of ginger flavor burst works very well.
A late bloomer with smaller, denser and darker kernels than larger, more popular and "attractive" varieties. Heirloom mission almonds like a longer, slower roast time and offer a deeper, more concentrated flavor. Made with fresh-roasted mission almonds, raw North Carolina wildflower honey and sea salt, this mission almond butter is intentionally simple and straight-up delicious
