Good Food Awards 2015
Charley Bucket could be fooled by this bar. A flashy gold foil with 20 delightfully decorated bites. This chocolate is reminiscent of a see's candy sucker and at 67% has less sweetness than you would expect. In addition this bar has very long length and pleasant butter notes in the mouth, with layers of complex earthy chocolate flavors that go on and on.
French Broad- Nicaragua Dark has brown Sugar, butter toast, black tea flavors
About the Producer:
French Broad comes from the love between two people and chocolate. After falling in love with each other, Dan and Jael moved to Costa Rica where their courtship of cocoa began. They owned a successful restaurant where they began to test and tinker and hone their chocolate craft. Eventually they left the sunny beaches and returned to the US, ultimately ending up in NC, where they are now located. French Broad Chocolate is dedicated to buy quality ingredients from ethically sourced growers, and emphasizes positive relationships with employees and the community.
