Get fresh raw bratwurst from your local meat counter.  Poach them for 5 minutes in a frying pan of water (water covering about 1/2 of the brat).  Poke them mid way with a fork to relieve the pressure.  Remove from the water and put on to the grill.  Turn occasionally, no more than 3 minutes a side.
